3. The shooting range plan, including the layout of the range, firing zones, safety zones, protective engineering installations, characteristics of the equipment used during shooting, and the categories, types and calibres of firearms permitted for use, is specified in the shooting range technical documentation.

II. FIREARM RENTAL, LENDING AND SALE OF AMMUNITION

4. Firearms and ammunition used for commercial activities related to the operation of the shooting range shall be acquired and stored, firearms shall be registered and re-registered, and records of firearms and ammunition shall be maintained in accordance with the procedure established by the Commissioner General of the Lithuanian Police.

UAB Šaudymo centras, holding a licence to operate the shooting range and having installed a firearm storage facility in accordance with the applicable requirements, may rent or lend its firearms to natural or legal persons for shooting practice or competitions taking place at the shooting range and may also sell ammunition in accordance with the applicable procedure.

6. Before renting, lending or otherwise providing a firearm or ammunition for use, or selling ammunition, the armourer of UAB Šaudymo centras shall require the individual to present an identity document and shall verify through the electronic services system of the Lithuanian Police whether a permit authorising the possession or carrying of the relevant type of firearm is valid, where the individual holds such a permit.

For persons wishing to shoot at the range who do not hold such a permit, the firearm and ammunition shall be collected from the armourer by a Range Officer appointed by UAB Šaudymo centras and shall be handed over for use only at the firing line.

7. Under the supervision of UAB Šaudymo centras, individuals may be permitted to shoot firearms belonging to them and/or use ammunition belonging to them.

In such cases, the Range Officer shall verify that the firearm details stated in the firearm documentation correspond to the firearm presented and, where applicable, verify the ammunition. Only after confirming that the information corresponds may the Range Officer allow the person to use the firearm or ammunition.

Another person, including a person who does not hold a permit authorising the possession or carrying of a firearm, may also be permitted to shoot the firearm provided that the person temporarily transferring the firearm remains beside the person using it.

8. All shooting at the range shall take place under the supervision of a Range Officer.

The register shall include the date and time of the person's visit, first name and surname, the identification numbers of the firearms intended to be used, the signature of the Range Officer and the signature of the person wishing to shoot.

A safety briefing is not required for persons with sufficient firearm-handling experience (at least three years), provided that such persons are included in a list approved by the head of the European natural or legal person operating the shooting range.
