Sordin Supreme MIL CC Neckband is a professional electronic hearing protection and communication headset for noisy environments. It combines passive noise attenuation, electronic ambient sound reproduction and connectivity to a compatible two-way radio communication system.
The behind-the-neck suspension leaves the top of the head unobstructed, making it easier to combine the headset with certain protective helmets. Helmet compatibility and a proper ear cushion seal must always be checked.
Separate speakers are provided for ambient sound and radio communication. This arrangement allows incoming radio audio to remain available even when the batteries powering the ambient sound electronics are depleted. Directional microphones help users hear speech and locate surrounding sounds without removing the headset.
A noise-cancelling boom microphone supports clear voice transmission. The heavy-duty downlead has a Nexus TP120 connector designed for use with compatible push-to-talk equipment. This is a wired communication interface; the headset does not contain a built-in two-way radio.
The ambient sound electronics include volume adjustment, a low-battery warning and automatic power-off. Two AAA batteries provide up to 600 hours of operation.
Compatible PTT equipment and a two-way radio are required. Their inclusion in the package has not been confirmed.
